Course Objective:
The course will provide you with a solid foundation of the concepts and techniques in traditional and modern cost accounting. In addition, the course tries to enhance your appreciation on how to apply cost accounting concepts in analyzing business organizations and management problems through team work.

Textbook:

Cost Accounting: A Managerial Emphasis, by Horgren, Foster and Datar, 10th Edition, 1999.
*A set of lecture notes prepared by the instructors will also be used in class.

Format:

The course will consist of (a) instructor`s lectures, (b) guest speakers` seminars, (c) case presentation and (d) project presentation. The instructor encourage students` questions and comments
